I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there; in her fertile fields and boundless prairies, and it was not there; in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. Not until I went to the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.”

Hypocracy Exposed. Do I Feel a Static Build-Up?

The Daily Show exposes union hypocrasy.

Further evidence that the poles have flipped.  Very entertaining clip.

John Stewart gets it right.

As much as I dis on Walmart, I hate that they are the scapegoat of these union people who demand more of them. (Um, it's called don't work at Walmart if you don't like the pay.)

Something that union people don't understand is that labor is a commodity, just as what is stocked on the grocery shelves. The laws of supply and demand apply. Unions appeal to the emotional but when you look at what is, dispationatly, than you realize that lowering the supply or raising demand artificialy leads to far more problems to all but a few than is good for the market in general.

What I really love about this clip is how it shows the blatant hypocrisy of the unions who try and excert pressure on Wal-Mart from the outside. They will tell you that the Wal-Mart employees are too frightened of their employer to form a union and therefore need the help of their local's.

I'ts the same liberal diatribe that has pervaded our country. Forget about personal responsibility were here to help you even if you're to dumb to realise that you need our help. So unions protect their few but when dealing with markets outside of their sphere of influence they of course use the market to their advantage.
